Browns Hospitals bestowed with top award by World Health Congress

Brown Hospitals, a fast growing healthcare service provider, was recently bestowed with the Award for Best Multi-Specialty Hospital at the World Health and Wellness Congress and Awards. The event was held at the Taj Samudra and was organized by CMO Asia as part of the Sri Lanka Leadership Awards 2019.

Commenting on this latest achievement, Charitha Jayasingha, Chief Operating Officer of Browns Hospitals, said, “We are honoured to be recognized at this prestigious forum for our continuous efforts to provide everyone with easy access to world class healthcare. It is further validation of the hard work and dedication of our staff that go above and beyond to ensure the wellbeing of our patients.”

The Sri Lanka Leadership Awards is an annual event that attracts the country’s best marketers and brands giving them the opportunity to gain vital leadership perspectives on brand marketing. Winners are selected each year by an independent panel of judges who conduct a thorough evaluation of each brand’s activities in the past year. Winners are determined by the visibility they are able to create for their brand during that period and the brand’s overall performance within its industry.

This latest award comes on the heels of chief operating officer Charitha Jayasingha being recognized as one of the 100 most impactful healthcare leaders in the world at the World Health and Wellness Congress and Awards held recently at the Taj Lands End in Mumbai, India. The honour was bestowed upon him in recognition of his over 20 years’ of marketing experience and trailblazing leadership style that is not afraid to rethink tried and tested methods in favour of innovation that will disrupt the industry for the better. He also has innovative operational processes, strategies and techniques that have allowed him to achieve better service outcomes in the industry. 

Browns Hospitals has a high profile medical team of well qualified and recognized visiting consultants in all specialties and in-house doctors along with a qualified nursing staff with both private and state sector experience. It is also the first and only hospital to receive ISO 9001:2015 certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institute for Healthcare. As a testament to its steadfast commitment to excellence Browns Hospitals was recently recognized with the merit award in healthcare related services at the National Business Excellence Awards 2018 and was 1st Runner up award in the best practice brand and design category at the Dental Awards 2018.
